welcome to play pals!
A fun and inclusive environment for young children to learn and grow.
Play Pals is currently a biweekly preschool play group affiliated with
Pediatric Language Therapy speech therapy clinic.
We welcome all children, not just those with communication challenges.
We are excited to expand our program to offer a preschool summer camp
at our unique San Leandro location.
Play Pals was started in February 2020 offering social groups to families of young children who were lacking peer interaction during the COVID pandemic.
Play Pals has grown into an inclusive program that supports play, learning, curiosity and friendships.
Our founders are Claire (a speech language pathologist)
and Monica (a special educator with a background in reading instruction).
Our staff are students from CSU East Bay studying speech pathology and childhood development.
We are excited to offer our first summer camp program and we hope you can join us!
My 4 year old son started the Play Pals Group about two months ago and has made new friends. I appreciate that they are focused on preschool types of activities and the staff are super attentive. Very happy and would definitely recommend!!

Does my child have to be toilet trained?
We prefer that children are potty trained but it's okay if they aren't. We will have regular bathroom breaks and reminders. Each child will need to bring a full change of clothes for the week.
Does my child have to attend every week?
No. You can register your child(ren) for as few or as many weeks as you would like. We do ask that each child attends the full 4 day week that they are registered for.
Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes! We offer a 25% discount for siblings. The rate is $375/week for 2 siblings
Are meals provided?
We offer a nut-free morning snack. Each child will need to bring a lunch and water bottle.
How do I enroll my child(ren)?
Ready to sign up?
My child has special needs - can he or she still attend camp?
We try our best to be an inclusive environment and welcome everyone. If your child has specific needs, let's talk about it and see how we can accommodate them.
